FOUR X FOUR
STANDARD PEDASTAL
The floor must be coupled with the soil as follows:
- Be sure that the soil surface is strong, perfectly dry and polished.
- Set the precise position of the pedestal.
- Lay the silane-based glue, not more than 6 ml.
4. Place the supporting pedestal, made of a galvanised steel tube linked to the bearing plate.
- Insert the upper head, with threaded stem and regulation nut, inside the pedestal, pre-regulating the correct height.
- Mount on the head the special FOUR x FOUR gasket.
- Placing the raised floor panel.
The planking level will be made of 600 x 600 mm panels, with different thickness: those panels are composed by a calcium sulphate base, whose density is 1550 kg/m3, then cold-finished on the upper side with the required covering, which can vary from porcelain, granites, parquet and many more.
Choosing our FOUR x FOUR gasket and
its conical inserts, you are guaranteed a strong and monolithic raised floor for all its lifespan, more and better than any other raised floors traditionally mounted and conceived.

EARTHQUAKE PROOF-PEDESTAL
The floor must be coupled with the soil as follows:
1. Be sure that the soil surface is strong, perfectly dry and polished.
2. Set the precise position of the pedestal.
3. Lay the silane-based glue, not more than 6 ml.
4. Place the supporting pedestal, made of a galvanised steel tube welded to the bearing plate.
5. Insert the upper head inside the pedestal. The head includes a threaded stem with a regulation nut, which as long as the pedestal itself. It must crop up the column by not more than 25 mm.
6. Lay the silane-based glue on the head, 4 ml.
7. Mount on the head the special FOUR x FOUR gasket.
8. Placing the raised floor panel.

Placing a raised floor equipped with FOUR x FOUR gasket and earthquake- proof pedestal assures the longest integrity for your floor and the highest level of safety for the people who, in case of earthquake, would be forced to rapidly leave the room.

VIBRATION TEST
Tests have been carried out by Pavia based European Centre for training and Research in Earthquake Engineering (EUCENTRE), on slightly different systems but with the same dimensions on plan (3×3 panels). FOUR x FOUR system has been reproduced through an adjustable metal pedestal, glued (or screwed) on the downside of a plywood panel, used as a linking interface. The glue was reactive silane based. On the metal pedestal’s superior plaque there was a FOUR x FOUR system, firstly polyurethane and then polypropylene. The floor was composed by calcium sulphate panels (600 x 600 x 44 mm) with porcelain covering, linked each other by the gasket through conical connectors.
The test episode included the application of a earthquake-like
shake at the base of the structure, in correspondence of the link with the plywood panel, strongly stuck to the upper part of the vibrating metal plaque.
The structure has been tested reproducing the accelerometric registration of April 9th 2009 earthquake in L’Aquila. Speed and movement data, Fourier Spectrum and much more information can be found on our website.
Conclusions
Once terminated all the testing phases, the structure and the floor – which have undergone accelerometric tests up to 4,5 times stronger than L’Aquila earthquake – haven’t registered any significant struc- tural damage.
